2022 Report of the Executive Director from January 2022 to January 2023

The year 2022 was characterized primarily by establishing a good foundation for future growth. Renovations, expansions, cleaning, purchase of equipment, repairs, automation, deep analysis of accounting systems, backups, restructuring of personnel, training, visits to listeners, visits to churches, and clarification of our vision as a radio station were the main tasks that were completed.

At the end of 2022, new channels began to be launched, expanding our presence in the App (for Android and iPhone) in Plautdietsch and Guarani, with plans to expand to a Portuguese channel. We also expanded our camera equipment, to be present in various media and social networks, to transmit audiovisual signals of the highest quality and maximum impact. The hope would be that these new channels will not only broaden our reach, but also that we will be able to better serve the different language groups in the area, as well as provide new opportunities for commercial sponsorships, which will provide more reach for businesses, and more radio resources. Also with this, local limits of the radio antenna are removed, opening up possibilities of international reach.

At the beginning of January 2023, the programming in Plautdietsch on analog radio was expanded, adding a live program from Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., called Moin Moin, as well as a newscast in Plautdietsch from Monday to Friday, from 18:30 to 19:00. This comes on top of the existing Friday show Klaues Kaleidoskop, which plays from 7pm to 8pm, of which 45 episodes have already been produced. The vision with Moin Moin is to accompany and have something chill and live for local listeners. The vision of the newscast is to make world events more understandable to the Plautdietsch audience. The vision of Klaues Kaleidoskop is to eventually reach an international market, through distributors in Canada and Germany, and to establish Radio Mensajero as a producer of high-quality content in the Plautdietsch language worldwide. In all these programming, we have received very positive Feedback.

The added work of these programs has not been sustainable for the director, but in January 2023 we contracted with Christof Harder from the Chaco, to help with all aspects of programming in German, as well as giving more shape to the content that comes out through the App in Plautdietsch.

We are also working on our dynamics with the companies that sponsor us, so as not to be limited only to pass on their pre-produced commercial sponsorships, but also to provide them with more visibility in their areas of social service and environmental responsibility, raising their profile in the country, and building a model for companies in Paraguay, worthy of emulation. We hope that companies will also be encouraged to expand their portfolio of donations, including the radio among the social works of interest. For this, the radio wants to show interest in the social activities and good practices of the companies, and be aware of the efforts made by these companies to help the country advance. One of the main goals is to work for peace among the peoples who live here within radio range.

2022 Report of Radio Mensajero 100.9 FM

• There was a celebration of the 23rd anniversary of RM in Bergthal, in which funds were raised through a raffle.
• There were live events for children and young people, being able to make use of the new kitchen in RM to serve them hot dogs and other groceries.
• He went on tour 13 times that year, and we met about 150 live listeners.
• Ministry reports were presented several times in various churches.
• Made renovations and updates.
• New digital channels were opened
• Created backups, and many essential optimizations.
• We had a special program for Christmas and New Years, simultaneously providing a video Stream for social media.
• A Christmas dinner was celebrated as a team and families here in the backyard of the radio station.
